Christian Healing

The Christian spiritual healing of any disease or disharmony is based on the principles of divine Science or Mind which was also in Christ Jesus. Jesus Christ was obedient to his Father or divine Mind and it allowed him to manifest the healing power of God. Through his affirmative prayers Jesus had brought health and harmony in every inharmonious situation. The Psalms of David also demonstrated the healing power of God's mighty Word. Those Psalms were written as the affirmative prayers and expressed the way to glorify and praise God.

The metaphysical method of Christian healing was discovered and was fully demonstrated by remarkable woman, Mary Baker Eddy, in 1866, who lived in America in the 19th century and part of the 20th century. The whole Mrs. Eddy’s life was a manifestation of moral principles. Her love and dedication to those principles has led her to a divine revelation of a metaphysical healing system. She proved her revelation to be the divine Science of Mind-healing. The divine revelation has been manifested in her instant healing from the deadly symptoms, which occurred after her heavy fall on the ice.

As the prophets from the Bible's time performed spiritual healings, Mrs. Eddy and her followers followed the principles of that Science and were also able to “heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils”.

The spiritual and healing power of Mind was in full described in her book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Thousands of new readers today experience the healing power of the divine Science of Mind during last 130 years. Since the first publication of that healing book in 1875 it has been sold over ten million copies. Translated into 16 languages, Science and Health was voted "one of 75 books by women whose words have changed the world" by the National Women's Book Association.

The facts testify that many thousands readers of this textbook, who realized and perceived its healing ideas, have found themselves healed of so-called incurable diseases, overcome bad habits, and restored broken relationships.

Mary Baker Eddy affirms with authority in her textbook Science and Health:

"Having faith in the divine Principle of health and spiritually understanding God, sustains man under all circumstances;"

Then she explains in her Science of Mind-healing that a divine revelation or the true idea of Spirit demands an obedience to the metaphysical or spiritual principles from every seeker of Truth, harmony or health.

"Whoever would demonstrate the healing of Christian Science must abide strictly by its rules, heed every statement, and advance from the rudiments laid down. There is nothing difficult nor toilsome in this task, when the way is pointed out, but self-denial, sincerity, Christianity, and persistence alone win the prize, as they usually do in every department of life."
